SERVICE AT THE SHORE SUNDAY MAY 19th

This year on May 19th our Sunday morning service will move from the Sanctuary on Walton Way Extension to Elijah Clark State Park in Lincolnton! Group Shelter 2 will be our base location for our 11 am service, followed by a potluck and an afternoon of outdoor fun and activities. Please sign up at https://www.uuaugusta.org/service-at-the-shore-sunday-.cfm or at the Welcome Table at church to bring food. Ice, lemonade and iced tea will be provided. We have use of a grill.

Elijah Clark State Park is a 447-acre Georgia state park located in Lincolnton, on the western shore of Lake Strom Thurmond/ Clarks Hill Lake, one of the largest lakes in the Southeast.  The park is named for Elijah Clarke, a frontiersman and war hero who led a force of pioneers in Georgia during the American Revolution. (Wikipedia)

With its boat ramps and accessible fishing pier, it is especially popular with anglers and boaters. A sandy swimming beach welcomes visitors to cool off during Georgia summers.

Group shelter 02, known as The Beach House, is located next to the beach and has a beautiful lake view. This group shelter has central heating/AC, a small kitchen with a household refrigerator, stove, a small microwave, and a coffee maker. Well-behaved pets will be allowed.

We will be able to enjoy the beach, so bring your toys and floats.

Each car entering the park will pay a $5.00 parking fee for the day. Address2959 McCormick Highway, Lincolnton, GA 30817
