Four Seasons Chamber Jazz
Four Seasons Chamber Jazz - a musical celebration of art in nature - is a four-event concert series, with music ranging from Latin jazz, to vocal standards, to Dixieland. Artists perform several selections representative of the season.
The first concert in the new season is Friday, Aug. 17, at 7:30 p.m. and features Cellist , Singer , Songwriter and Music Educator Arpenik. Imagine an artist with “virtuoso level” musicianship, silky, emotive vocals, and the creative chops to make 80’s pop hits into new jazz creations. That’s the skill set possessed by Arpenik Hakobyan, a cellist/vocalist/arranger from Yerevan, Armenian who is on the verge of international superstardom in the world of jazz. The 30-year-old began her musical journey at the age of 8, and was soon singled out for her natural gifts. She’s studied and played with the masters in multiple genres across the globe, winning accolades at every stop.
